Q: How much does a membership in Pilot Flight Instruction cost?
Membership in Pilot Flight Instruction is absolutely free for Students – there is never any charge. There is currently no cost for flight instructors and schools. Instructors and schools can create an account including posting a profile, searching and reviewing profiles for free. At some point in the future, PFI may charge a nominal referral fee to CFIs and flight schools who choose to accept student pilot inquiries through our messaging system. No timeline or pricing schedule has been set. Until further notice, there is simply no charge of any kind. Tell a friend!
Q: How does the “Mutual Interest” feature work?
Our rating system helps you keep track of other members you would like to communicate with. When you click 4 or above, a message with your "intro" is sent to that person, and your name appears on their priority or interest list. The exact number you select is not shown.
Your email address and other contact information are never revealed to the other person - all messages are forwarded anonymously by our system, using only your username as identification.

Q: Is my personal contact information visible to anyone on the system?
Absolutely not. Only your username and profile information is visible to others. Access to your personal contact information is restricted to only those people you choose to share it with (see Mutual Interest). The Pilot Flight Instruction administrative staff may access the information to service your account, for customer service and billing tasks. Your contact information will never be shared with any third party without your express consent through system features such as Mutual Interest.
