Hi, I'm Nick Santo. I co-own and operate the flight school at Burlington International Airport with my wife, Sue. I love to fly and I love to teach. I teach procedure and safety and produce a high quality product. I am a Gold Seal Flight Instructor and have successfully signed off more than 150 ratings from private to ATP. I enjoy my work and lifestyle. The people I work with toward their ratings are usually very ready to help me by offering recommendations to interested students. In the ninteen years I have been flying, I've flown 20,000 accident and incident free hours. More than 18,000 of those hours were teaching people how to fly safely.

I'm located in South Burlington , Vermont

Flight/Flight Instruction Experience
I started teaching in August, 1991 and have never looked back. I've enjoyed almost all of the people I've worked with. I really enjoy working with people to help them realize their goals. My greatest joys are to watch a student solo, achieve a rating, and to get "that job." It is a lot of hard work for both the student and me to put a rating together. The neat part is that it can be fun for both of us! I haven't stopped learning yet, also. Many times my students turn out to be my most interesting teachers. I have written five procedural books on how to fly airplanes for each of the major ratings; Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine and CFI. These books the basis for the flight instruction at my flight school.

Educational Background
I have a B. A. in Chemistry from Johnson State College, Johnson, VT. Upon gradustion I worked as an Environmental Analytical Chemist and eventually Supervised the Wet Laboratory for a local environmental analytical firm. I learned to fly on a grass strip in South Hero, Vermont, then continued the PART 61 route through my single and multi-engine ATP certificates. I obtained my Instrument, Commercial and CFI at PART 141 schools in PART 61 programs.
