School Description
Curtis Eads Flight School is the only CERTIFIED CIRRUS FLIGHT TRAINING CENTER in Tidewater, VA. We are an up-to-date, professionally run facility with a friendly, old time FBO atmosphere. The founder's son, Curtis Eads, Jr., continues his affiliation with the school, and our highly skilled instructors have formal commercial airline, military or corporate experience. Our ground school is professionally managed by Aaron Glassman of the Aviation Education Institute and offers a variety of class room courses such as VFR, IFR and GPS training. We have a fully staffed aircraft sales division headed by Judith R. Lear that can assist in the aquisition or marketing of an aircraft including negotiations, financing, insurance, closing, delivery and type rating. We also have a maintenece department headed by Thomas N. Stevens, CFII, MEI, AP, IA that is available to assist with pre-purchase inspections, annuals and aircaft maintenence.

Staff Qualification
As a Certified Cirrus Flight Center, we employ two Cirrus Standardised Instructor Pilots (CSIP's) for Cirrus flight instruction and for Cirrus owner's insurance requirements. Our highly qualified, full time staff consists of aviation and education enthusiasts, who are readily available to support our students through every step of their aviation experience. We are seasoned professionals who have chosen flight instruction as a career not just a stepping stone to "build time" for the airlines. Our Director of Education, Aaron Glassman, CFII, boasts awards such as Master Flight Instructor from the National Association of Flight Instructors and Gold Seal Flight Instructor from the Federal Aviation Administration. Director of Operations, Tom Stevens, CFII, AP, IA has 15,000 hours in the air spanning 33 years. His qualifications include ratings and/or endorsements in Sea Planes, Turbo Props, Multi Engine, Tail Wheel, Unusual Attitude Training, Aerobatics, and various notable awards from Piedmont and US Air. We are open seven days a week and are on call during off hours to assist in our student's progress.

We are Tidewater Virginia's only CIRRUS CERTIFIED FLIGHT TRAINING CENTER. We are a one stop Flight Center fully staffed with Classroom Instructors, Flight Instructors, an in house Maintenence Department and a full time Aircraft Sales Division that includes Pilot Supplies. We are also supported by full time TSA Certified Flight Dispatchers and Customer Care Representatives.
