Luis G. Magana has been a full-time flight instructor for 4 years, logging over 3,200 hours of flight time including 2,900 hours of instruction. He has acquired multiple pilot certificates including private pilot, instrument rating, commercial, and Airline Transport Pilot in both single and multi-engines for land and sea. He holds flight instructor credentials including Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI). Luis has trained numerous airline First Officers for their ATP certificates. He has helped over 300 students achieve their certifications in Nevada, Arizona and California.

Flight/Flight Instruction Experience
Luis’s mission is to teach his students the basic aeronautical knowledge and piloting skills necessary for them to acquire their certificates or ratings required for certification. He performs a comprehensive evaluation of his student’s skills and uses a personalized training syllabus that provides a step by step instruction. His patient and expert instruction allow students to quickly become proficient and pass their Practical Test. Luis provides a comfortable training environment and encourages students to ask questions. He believes that the most vital element of quality instruction is to develop a good relationship with his students and to have fun while learning.

Educational Background
A native of San Diego, Luis began his professional training at San Diego Flight Training International where he received his pilot certificate. Luis’s love of flying developed early when his older sister gave him a Cessna 152. Shortly after, he decided to become a professional pilot. As the years passed, his devotion to flying became more evident as he earned his pilot certificate, advanced certifications and instructor credentials. Today, Luis shares his love of flying and enjoyment of teaching with his friends, colleagues and students. He is the founder and CEO of FlyRight Aviation and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife and two children.
