Why do we require you to register before contacting Ed Bryce?
More » Start here! 3 minute guide »I am retired and do flight instructing because I like to fly and I like to teach. You will learn everything required to be a safe and competent pilot. By flying out of Boeing Field, you will get training that will allow you to fly in and out of any major airport in the world. Because I'm retired, I'm available almost any time of the day, 7 days/week - so I can meet whatever schedule you need. If you have your own airplane, we can use it instead of the Alternate Air flying club planes. See www.AlternateAir.com. You will have to join the club before you can start your training, but if you just want to give it a try, come on down! - Ed

Flight/Flight Instruction Experience
Much of my flight instruction experience is as an Air Force instructor teaching pilots how to fly WC-135B (Boeing 707) aircraft. As a civilian, I've taught private and instrument students as well as doing aircraft checkouts and flight reviews. I've had instructors who couldn't teach, and instructors who were arrogant beyond belief. I'm not one of them. If you would like calm, thoughtful, and thorough instruction, give me a call.
Educational Background
I have a B. S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Washington, professional flight training from the U. S. Air Force (where I was a flight instructor and pilot examiner), and a strong background in computers and flight simulation. Most importantly, I can put whatever flying issue you may be facing into "plane" language so that you can understand the "why" of something, not just the "what."
Additional Comments
All it takes to start flying, and to see if it's really something you'd like to pursue, is money. And not even that much money! Nothing in advance, pay-as-you-go, and if you like it (and I know you will!!!) THEN you bring more money and actually get your license! Most people think that the air flowing over the wings makes an airplane fly... actually, it's money!
