Hi, my name is Jayson. I am currently a CFII/MEI and I am a contract flight instructor. I am NOT teaching to build time for the airlines... "Been there done that got the T-shirt". I love teaching and like most of us I have a love affair with the freedom of flight. I am currently working on my CFII add-on rotorwing. I have flown many different aircraft from twin turbines, float planes, warbird, experimental, and helicopters.

Flight/Flight Instruction Experience
I have flown in Alaska for a little over 2 years, When I returned to the lower 48, I did flight instruction in Texas for almost a year. Everything from tailwheel endorsements, aerobatics, corporate, and instrument instruction. I moved to Portland OR where I took a job flying warbirds giving dual instruction, aircombat, and thrill rides. I am currently adding rotorcraft CFII to my CFI ticket and still teach privately by request on the side. I have attended the Columbia Factory CFI course and can instruct in any fixed wing aircraft (single, twin, experimental, TAA, float, or ski equiped aircraft. Hopefully, by spring, I will be able to instruct in most helicopters.

Educational Background
I am very familiar with most Part 141 FAA flight training programs and have trained most of my students Part 61. I have a very laid back style of instuction. There are many ways to teach flying but ultimately the student MUST have fun. Last but definately not least...a healthy amount of respect for all the forces which make flight possible, from weather to gavity)!
