Earning his Private Pilot Certificate before graduating high school, he went on to earn his Instrument Rating from Auburn University’s demanding flight program while earning a degree in Logistics & Aviation Management. Stephen commissioned from Auburn’s R.O.T.C. program as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Beale Air Force Base in California. While stationed at Beale he completed his Commercial Pilot Certificate, Certified Flight Instructor Certificate, and introduced newly commissioned officers to aviation by teaching them to fly Air Force T-41s. When not instructing on the base, he also taught ground school classes and gave flight reviews for Red Carpet Aviation on weekends. Stephen separated from the Air Force in September ’06 and returned to Atlanta where he instructs ground and flight training on a part-time basis out of the Lawrenceville Gwinnett County Airport (LZU). Stephen is currently a First Officer for Atlantic Southeast Airlines flying the CRJ200 out of Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and a member of the Alabama Air National Guard's 187th Fighter Wing. Stephen’s experience and dedication to aviation builds skilled pilots who enjoy a lifetime of fun, safe flying.
