I am an experienced flight instructor with approximately 3100 flight hours as an instructor. I instruct private, commercial and instrument. I am muli-engine rated but do not instruct ME. I am a retired Navy Commander with 27 years of active duty mostly as a surface ship officer on destroyers. After retiring from the navy I spent 12 years as Chief Engineer of hospitals. I am married and have 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren. I have been an active flight instructor since 1998. I also enjoy sailing, which I spend many hours in the spring, summer and fall seasons.

Certificates:    Pilot and Flight Instructor.

Certificate Levels:   Commercial.

Certificate Ratings:    Airplane Multiengine Land, Airplane Single Engine Land and Instrument Airplane.

Flight Instruction Rate:   $24/hr Private, $27/hr all others

Ground Instruction Rate:   $24/hr

Instruction Plane:   Piper Warrior, Cessna 152/172 TurboArrow, Archer

Instruction Material:    Jeppesen, Sportys, King, FAA and My own materials.

Flight/Flight Instruction Experience
I have 9 years of experience teaching private, commercial and instrument with about 3100 hours flight instruction experience. Several of my students are now airline pilots, flight instructors and air force, marine and navy pilots. I love it when they come back to visit me.
