Ben Strader                Last Visit: 06.24.2009

Hello Everyone! My basic philosophy with aviation training is simple...I never train people to pass their checkride...I simply train them to be a pilot (or a better pilot). I figure if we can accomplish that goal, then the checkride is a minor detail! I love to help get someone to their "next level", whether that is radio work, complex airspace, or real cross country flight planning. If you are looking to push yourself to become the best pilot you can be, and not just simply "pass your checkride" then come on down to French Valley Airport (F70) and ask for Ben!

I'm located in Temecula, California

Flight/Flight Instruction Experience
Most of my flight experience has been in and around the complex class-B airspace of southern california, but I have also had extensive cross country flying experience that includes landing my 1976 Cessna 182 in the high mountian grass airstrips of Idaho's back-country and also at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport! I specialize in helping current pilots hone their cross country navigation and weather skills, with an emphasis on training both VFR and IFR pilots to get the most utilization out of the Garmin 430/530 series GPS units!

Educational Background
After high school, I joined the Navy, and while I was traveling the world, I studied Physics, but sadly I never finished my engineering degree. One of my goals is to obtain a BS in Professional Aviation.

Additional Comments
I run a fairly sucessful automotive training business called EFI University, that deals with teaching racers how to deal with the complexity of todays computer controlled vehicles. While this business is very flexible and allows me plenty of spare time for flying, it is important to schedule instruction with me, as things can get busy at times! I look forward to meeting you, and helping you with your training needs!
