Staff Qualification
Sawyer Aviation Certififed Flight Instructors are uniformed, drug-tested and available to fly seven days a week. All instructors are CFI, CFII and Multi-Engine rated.

"Sawyer" has been synonymous with aviation for half a century. Darrell Sayer founded Sawyer School of Aviation in 1961 primarily as a flight school, which grew in size and reputation over the years. Sawyer Aviation has recently been featured in publications such as The Business Journal, Airpark News and Travel Host. Sawyer Aviaiton is a member of the Better Business Bureau and is an approved CATS testing facility.

He skillfully followed the "Aviation Instructors Handbook" by gradually raising the standards to which he held me. Only under the tutelage of a talented flight instructor was this possible. As a result, I did not suffer from the usual "pre-check ride jitters." Your office staff was ever helpful. Kim Murphy was instrumental in setting up and maintaining my aggressive training schedule. I have no doubt that this effort would have been over before it began were it not for her "can-do" attitude. I recognize that my "get it done in a week" zeal took you out of your comfort zone, even to the extent that I was not able to fly with your usual FAA examiner.
