Ninety-Nines Reno Last Visit: 06.08.2009

The Reno Area 99s was chartered in 1964 to support women pilots flying in the Truckee Meadows and south through Carson City to Minden and Gardnerville Nevada. Our 49 current members range from sport pilots to corporate pilots, including accomplished glider pilots who take advantage of the area's spectacular soaring conditions. We have national-level competitors in both power and gliders. There are also some less active enthusiasts, who keep busy with 99s but fly less often. We also have three future women pilots. Our chapter actively supports the mission of the International 99s to promote world fellowship through flight, provide networking and scholarship opportunities and local aviation education and to preserve the unique history of women in aviation.
